Officer charged with filing false report resigns

When did they actually find out about it? I assume long enough ago that the statute of limitations would be run on prosecuting anyway. And I wonder, wouldn't it also be outside the limits on 15.520, I'll have to think about that. When was the "complaint" initially filed against him.

Wish he'd stuck around and fought, the charges they placed probably couldn't have been prosecuted anyway.

I can promise you it was because of his psychotic ex wife. I know for sure she sold his car and forged a notarys name on the back and then tried to call LMPD and say Schaffer did it and try to get him brought up on felony charges. The LMPD does not protect it's officers. It allows nuts, mentally unstable ex-wives call and harass for not one, but two years. They got tired of the endless phone calls by she and her parents and even her attorney of all people. Schaffer should have had that idiot disbarred!!
