This is your only opportunity to say what you want to say about department policy without fear of of being blacklisted. Union activity can be dangerous to your career, which is the main reason they've always allowed anonymous comments here. I understand why people are wondering why the webmaster singled this particular arrest for recognition. LMPD officers arrest dangerous felons every day and nothing is said here about 99.9% of them. If this is something the FOP wants to start doing, then set up a recognition page on the site and allow members with passwords to post there.
