Web Site Legally Posting Police Officers' Home Addresses Raises

Yes, I encourage officers to remember that - a good deal of personal information is readily available to anyone that wants it. I encourage each and every one of you to do something as simple as check to see if your phone number is listed - that happens sometimes by "accident" - I know several officers who were amazed to discover that suddenly their home number (and home address) were listed, despite the fact they paid to keep it unlisted, and to check to see if your name comes up in the city or county directory. If nothing else, if you own a home and your name is on the deed, that's readily available as well. And if someone really wants you, they can just follow you home. Don't assume that just unlisting your phone number in some way protects you.
