Take him out for what? Are you the judge & jury? If he is an immediate threat to someone's life then it seems proper justification would be met according to KRS. This is not Hollywood, you don't give the snipers the green light to engage at will. Regardless of how smaller details might have been handled the big picture is that he was taken into custody without anyone being harmed, especially those neighbors and more importantly an officer. Hindsight is always 20/20 but considering the dept has inept leadership up top I think the end of this story (no more fatalities) is fantastic. Great Job LMPD!!! On to the leadership....I am not surprised by the adminstrations treatment of the officer who returned fired, if it is true. Winstead sold out a long time ago and Turner is a has been. They are both pathetic excuses for cops and leaders.
