A Vote For The Good Guys

"If everyone automatically assumed the Officer was right......"

I guess we're supposed to automatically assume the Officer is a cold-blooded murderer. Apparently he should have been shot first before taking action. And it would have to be a fatal shot otherwise this writer would ask "Why didn't he use his taser????? It was just a leg wound!!!"

I'm glad the Officer and the public he serves are more safe because of his actions.

What in the hell is wrong with you! You have a report of shots fired, you see a man with a gun, he obviously pointed it at the Officer because the Officer was shot are you questioning the Officer's right to shoot? There is always an investigation into a shooting. The facts as reported state there was a convicted felon with a gun in his hand, obviously shot a Police Officer. I don't think the Rev. Coleman has the nerve to question this one. As far as a civil rights lawsuit, thats a joke! The Officer and the Suspect are the same Race. The Feds don't care about those type of shootings. I hope you are not a Police Officer because you are not going to make it to retirement. You don't have time to think about lawsuits and all that other BS when things go bad. You have to REACT. Good luck!

You worry about civil rights suits when a guy is threatening with a gun, you might as well go ahead and appoint your pall bearers before leaving the house. You are obviously not a cop, or if you are one, then you are a rookie or one of those staff commanders that has never ridden a beat in your life. i.e., Troy Riggs

Some Officers on this department give plenty of ammo to the protestors and liberal attorneys of the world. I simply stated that a shooting has to be investigated and that if a department fails to investigate a police shooting, the feds will step in and do it for you. If not them, it could be KSP or the Attorney General. If you aren't able to properly use the force continuum, then you should resign and let someone more qualified take your place.

If a convicted felon was pointing a gun at you, would you want the officer to wait and make sure that he was really pointing at you and not the tree behind you before firing his weapon? When will you morons understand that the safety of our officers and the law abiding public should be the only thing that matters! If someone pulls a gun on a "plumber" and they shoot, it is considered self defense and he certainly doesn't face a civil lawsuit, but a policeman is charged with murder. . . that is wrong! A big thank you to Mr. Lamb for having the guts to say it like it is and an even bigger THANK YOU to Chief Harl for supporting his officers from the very beginning . . something we don't have in this city. God Bless our Officers and be the one that goes home.

Pull a gun on me and this I promise:

You'll die or I will, simple as that. I could care less about the investigation.
