717 Million Dollar Budget Vote Slated To Improve Public Safety Woes

Another thing that most people don't understand is that for every Officer that LMPD is supposed to have that money is budgeted every year. He didn't "GIVE" us anything the police department wasn't already budgeted to have. He can't lay us off so he just does the old smoke and mirrors with the money.

When his appointed cronies, all the deputy mayors and staff heads came on board 2 years ago they were all given brand new SUV's. Take a guess what they just recieved again? New SUV's because we couldn't expect them to drive a 2 year old car for gosh sakes.

We have Police cars literally falling apart out here with 150,000 miles on them and these Officers are trying to get to your house in an emergency.

Why does the Attorney for the chief need a take home car?? For that matter why does any city attorney need one??? He wouldn't give a car to the Police surgeon who does respond to many instances, but other than chasing ambulances I never knew why an attorney needed a car.
