717 Million Dollar Budget Vote Slated To Improve Public Safety...

The mayor has mentioned that most of next fiscal years budget is for public safety. Why is this? Is it because he really does know that without the support of public safety individuals and their families, he dosen't stand a chance to be re-elected and wants everyone on his side? To late, Mr. Fairy (aka Mr. Mayor), it won't work. You have screwed us over long enough. And I hope noone really believes his "crock of crap"!

It's disgusting that Mayor Abrahmson is spinning his budget. The mayor is bringing the department close to its authurized strength of 1250, but he is saying in the press he is "adding" 100 new officers. To quote RCW, what a crock of crap. The mayor could add 300 new officers, and the crime rate will continue to rise as long as he, Slug Hamilton, Bob White and Turner run things. The problem is that the mayors liberal policies don't work. Louisville is like New York in the early '90's. Jerry and Bobby continue to make war on the police and appease the criminal element. The citizens of Louisville Metro deserve better than Jerry Abramson. Next year they can throw the bumm out.

We need more parks so the squirrels will have a home and will quit trying to join the police department.

Quoted from Courier-Journal "Roughly 100 days ago, Metro Mayor Jerry Abramson unveiled the "City of Parks" proposal that includes a 100-mile hiking and biking trail encircling the county and three to four new parks, each the size of the 400-acre Cherokee Park, along Floyds Fork." Where is this money coming from? If we have enough money for this, why can't we pay our police more, or atleast continue to pay the insurance and use the money for the fire department. If good ole Mayor has a problem or needs security who does he call? the police, if he sees a fire, who does he call? the fire department. These 2 departments are desperately needed in the city of Louisville. We have enough parks!!!!!!!!!!! Wake up Louisville.

The problem is (and the public and politicians need to understand this) that the mayor can include money to boost our numbers up by 100 or 1000 officers. If we don't start to pay the officers a salary comparable with the private sector we will never get them to apply here. Then all that money that isn't spent on the police officers can go back into his special projects. As for the parks......what can you say more area that cannot be patrolled by officers we dont have..
