Well stated brother, you to are a true hero. We have heard for a week now about all the passion Pete had for his job. I DO NOT want any of that to go away, but you to have the same passion and concern for your job, your community, your brothers, and sisters. I just hope more people see this and respond to it for the sake of the department and the community. Iknow you have made me step back and take a second look. Thanks again for your service, sacrifice, and insight.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts to us. Your comments are well put. I am the wife of an officer of the last graduating class. This mentality of the metro -gov. scares me to death!!! Every day my husband leaves for work I give him a kiss, a hug, tell him how much I love him and that he better come home to me! I would like to have confidence in the dept that my husband works for will stand behind him and support his split second decisions. I thank all of you officers for your dedication to your family, your dept. and the community.

thank you--I've struggled with how to say all that---and I would love to say more--the powers that be in this city sure do not support the guys/gals in blue-except for their political gains and now I think their days in the c-j headlines and frontpages are done.....the mayor can take the chief, the newspaper and the westend mouth and stay there for all I care/..i sure won;t miss those four.
