Police who don't do policework usually can't identify with those who do. They think much better of the guy giving them free doughnuts and coffee at the gas station than Officers trying to catch felons even at the risk of their own lives. Much safer and more comfortable being a fat lazy ROD. I mean that in the nicest possible way, which is exactly as it sounds.
