Head of LMPD Training Caught At Airport With Gun In Luggage |
RE: Head of LMPD Training Caught At Airport With Gun In Luggage
Actually, I'm in favor of sending recruits to Richmond - and using that money to increase and improve the training that is specific to Louisville. Especially given that every property owner in Metro Louisville pays to support the Richmond academy - which is nationally CALEA accredited. (Have you been there lately?)
Sell Southfields and develop a decent driving training facility out someplace where the land is cheaper - there are several huge chunks of land that would provide far better facilities than the cramped and deteriorating facility at Southfields.

Can't speak to the Mt. Sterling comment - I don't know the background of all of the individuals there. But I suppose that means that we should somehow think less of Mattingly, Ansman, etc. because they have been fired? Remember, small agency officers have little recourse, they don't have the power of a 1300 member FOP to support them financially/legally when they are unjustly fired - and they don't have the resources to push Bill of Rights violations. (Oh, wait, LMPD doesn't do that either ...) Instead, they just find another agency that is willing to look at their situation.
