You re right about needing to unite but it will never happen. Think about it. Even when these arrogant, power worshipping clowns more or less told all of us that they wanted to send Mckenzie to prison, what did you do. The officers did not unite. Sure we supported him with thoughts and prayers but we should have all been united to let everyone know that we were not going to let one of our own be a fall guy. I saw it up to the day of verdict, all these 1 to 3 year super cops out there bringing the stats in for the administration when they should have been taking offense reports for everthing that met the citeria. I'm ashamed. This department is way to individualized and don't you all see that's the way they (adminstration) want it. So keep it up all you hard charges, it's set in precedent that this department will not support you if there's any question. You lay in the bed you make for yourselves here on out.

Talk of work stoppage is folly at best. Right now we have the upper hand in the area of public sentiment. Despite the opinions of a few "activists" and members of the media, the public at large supports our plight. The second we do something stupid and have a work stoppage, we will lose that momentum and it will shift to sympathy for the administration. They know and understand this.
We have a duty to take care of the public and that is what we should continue to be doing. We need to fight this battle another way. We need to focus public attention on what is really wrong. We need to start an information campaign, we need to protest. The last thing we need to do is make the public feel that we have abandoned them. That will do more harm than good.
