No Confidence Survey Results Released

Outstanding! This is the best, most simply stated comment yet. We have a terrible chief and a terrible FOP president. Dodson can't even keep a rent a cop job at the Summit shopping center but he thinks we want him to stutter and stammer through a statement. PLEASE MEMBERS OF THE E-BOARD, DO NOT LET DODSON SPEAK ANYMORE. I don't know who I'm listening to Dodson, Barbara Shanklin, or Boomhauer from King of the Hill.

"It is time for the FOP to start protesting in front of the mayor's, home & office, outside conventions, concerts, & shows."

Best idea posted here yet. FOP needs to start attending the neighborhood community meetings and giving the people that need to know the real truth the facts about why crime is so high. The media is no help so the truth needs to be spread to citizens one meeting at a time. The silent majority needs to be informed of who needs to go.

Exactly...the Mayor and Chief don't fear the FOP and it's membership because, just as you stated, we are divided, conquered, and apethetic. You want a show of force that will get recognition? Thunder, Derby, and all the other events that showcase Louisville...let them Police it. Specialty units and extra duty...turn your **** in and let them handle the situation. Why continue to put your life and livelyhood on the line for some morons who will sell you out in a heartbeat. But......that's a perfect world....we will never unite and that will continue to be the downfall of the rank and file.

I agree with part of this. Even though only about 50% returned surveys, it did get out there. But here is my question. WHY DONT WE (BROTHERS AND SISTERS in BLUE) DO MORE!! There's a lot that can be done when we're off work. Regardless of whatever he wants to put in policy if we could get 500 of us to stick together we could really make a showing downtown. Folks I'm tired and a long way from retirement. We need to do something soon!!

Lets think for a moment about how many people turned in the survey. If we have 1200 some officers and most of them are in the patrol divisions, then that sounds about right. You have to consider that for promotion reasons or career moves or being a supervisor or whatever other reason you can think of why the other 500 people didn't turn theirs in. Only about 1000 surveys were handed out. I have heard people say "I am not filling that out because I don't want someone to find out I disagreed with the Heads. I am still trying to get a promotion". That says alot about people and their own agendas. You're never going to have all the people do something that might negatively affect them. I think 500 people is a pretty good response considering the all the agendas.
