Greensboro NC Police see fewer homicides

Here's a plan:

Demand that the mayor have the chief fix the dept, or get a new chief. It's pretty much that simple. While I don't work for LMPD, I do work in a position that allowed me to see what a fallacy the "Violent Crimes" task force was...They did EXACTLY what Street Crimes did...Most of the charges they arrested on were minor offenses like alcohol intoxication and disorderly conduct. It wasn't the grand thing that the Communist Urinal (Courier Journal) attempted to make it to be.

No offense to anyone on the task force, but a lot of that was chicken**** stuff. It played good for the media and the chief's office, but didn't get any really violent criminals off the street....unless you wanna count the overnight visit they made at the jail.

So, demand that the chief starts to make some reversals of his "decentralization" policies. Obviously, they didn't work in Greensboro, and it's just as obvious they don't work here. Maybe if the public starts to make noise about this, Mayor Abramson will listen. God knows he won't listen to the people who actually do the job.....,

steve , It's simple elect someone other than a democrat for mayor! 1. then ask the new mayor for a unit to interdict street level narcotics 2. ask that the narcotics unit be restored to its former staffing levels in order to handle major casework on narcotic dealers 3. require the new police chief to augment the strength of the patrol division so they are not tied up on calls for service all the time during their shift and they can do proactive police work and add overall effectiveness of the department 4. then if and when your police officers have to use force or make an honest mistake dont crucify them and defend them from racist community activists and the liberal media who in case you dont know support each other and our current mayor

Well Steve it is simple yet hard at the same time we have identified the problem which is very simple and the only solution reasonably would be to attempt to get rid of the problem for the next election. However there are some other things that could be done, such as organize a group of people and take this information and demand his job and don't back down and take no for an answer. I realize that this is unlikely however it can be done as it was with Chief Sherrard a couple of years back when his job was demanded and he was fired for giving to officers awards for saving their own lives and going home to their families one night when they were faced with a deadly force situation. I really don't know the true answer to the problem though it seems we as citizens have let our fine law enforcement officers down by voting this idiot in and letting him call the shots on a lot of issues he obviously knows nothing about. Good Luck with you endeavor what ever it may be.
