BULL! Bring charector and discipline to 2 Departments that were not well managed before? Both former Departments had rich tradition and history and both were excellent departments. Do you think the mismanagement of this administration is fair and right? Time for you to find a new job. I have never seen so many Officers disciplined for bs and never seen so many IA cases pop up that were unjustified as with this administration. We have a Chief that is not running the department with any degree of sanity or conviction. We have some, not all of his staff as opportunistic lackeys that only care about their paycheck not the officers nor the community. We have a record number of Officers leaving. If the former Chief's were so bad how come they didn't encounter this problem. Chief White and his double standard brigade a need to be replaced with some Commanding Officers with the integrity, with the ties to the community and with the vision to lead us forward. Chief White has nothing but catch phrases and Community Oriented Poicing cliches to back him up. He has screwed up two fine police departments. He has placed the community at risk by cutting viable units and replaceing them with fluff. This community has seen a horrible surge in drug dealing, violent crime, murders and traffic deaths. Lets see which units did he cut when he first got here.. Narcotices, Street Crimes and traffic. What a coincidence.

You got to be joking with that remark. You honestly believe that prior to rw comming here LPD and JCPD were undiciplined and mismanaged? There is no way you worked for either dept because if you did you would know that the men and women on each were highly professional. If they wanted to do this merger the right way we would have one radio system by now so the officers would know what is going on. We wouldn't be getting a new sop everyweek with an update or correction to it the next week. We wouldn't have a murder rate that is going up by the week along with traffic deaths. As another post said, walk in the shoes of the officers on the beat and come back to reality. Very few officers have confidence in this chief or mayor. The only thing we can hope for is that each of them get a better offer and leave so someone can actually do some good for LMPD. OH and the memo from Major Wiley was wrong. The officers in the former 4th District can and would have taken care of their job. If the FOP or anyone else said that they should have laid low due to the same reason, there would be an O.O.P.S (IA) investigation and someone would be getting fired.
