LMPD plans to fire 2 detectives involved in raid that ended in death of Breonna Taylor

Everyone should be calling their state senator and representative telling them to un-do merger and restore the City of Louisville so that the mayor doesn't run the county anymore. Even better, split them off into another county. The idiots in the highlands and west end don't have anything in common with most people in the rest of this county. They may as well be in another state, but Indiana will never take them.

They could also pass a state law giving JCSO primary jurisdiction in the suburbs and transferring metro divisions to them, without immediately needing to change anything but the shoulder patches, badges and door decals. It would be easy to hire in experienced detectives and command staff from among those who retired once that happens.

Any of these options would be better than keeping the disastrous Louisville Metro as-is.
