LMPD officers shoot and kill man in Southside neighborhood

One thing everybody on all sides needs to remember is that rich white Democrats like Fischer aren't nice people and aren't on anyone's side but their own.

I remember back when the black ministers were insinuating that Conrad was hired over Gentry because of race. Close but not exactly. The real reason was Gentry had a mind of her own and would have ended up carrying more weight with a key voting block than the Mayor would have in the long run. He doesn't like it when people have minds of their own or have more influence than he does. He tries to play all sides against each other in the traditional style of rich white Democrats, who nobody'd have any use for if they didn't. They've been experts at using tactics of division for politicial survival since the civil war.

Does Fischer really support the Abolish ICE or other leftists? No but he loves how they provide a convenient controversy for him to exploit for political gain. Their protesting outside a government agency is far less problematic than their running for office against mainstream rich white Democrats like him.
