LMPD Asst. Chief named Bardstown Police Chief |
RE: LMPD Asst. Chief named Bardstown Police Chief
It must be disappointing to find out through an internet message board that your promotion had little to do with your policing or police leadership ability. Unfortunately, wrote memorization of pages in a book does not make anyone a good leader. It only means their last boss didn't give them enough to do, so they got to study on duty. Unless you were a Sgt or Lt under a command staff prior to 2003, then you've never been exposed to competent leadership. Police can't simply ice cream scoop or community photo op the homicides and drugs away. It takes the type of competent leadership, planning, training and proactive policing used by LPD. The current Chief has no experience with any of that, because he was too busy doing his political community cop bullsh-t starting when Jerry Abramson put him on the fast track in the early 90s.
