LMPD announces major changes within department

"A jury delivered a not guilty verdict for a Louisville man accused of a deadly shooting while on parole. Dojuan Jefferson was on trial for the death of Shaun Smith in 2014. The victim's family said Smith was shot seven times on Frisk Court. The jury got the case Friday afternoon. Jefferson was convicted on the 1997 shooting death of Louisville teen Dennis Goodwin, and was paroled in 2013."

That's due to the lack of supervision within the Major Crimes Division- Homicide Unit. The officers are too busy studying for the promotional exam or playing basketball for hours in the gym.
