Well considering that shifts are not part of our contract what should the FOP do? Negotiate for something that doesn't exist? Shifts come at the pleasure of the Chief and they are ever changing. If people have enough time to retire they most likely are not on midwatch...at last check there are only 100 Officers/C.O's, eligible to retire across the whole department. The benefits for new hires suck but their benefits were voted on by us during the last contract. Don't like it? Then maybe people should get off of their a$$ and we won't have only half the department voting. As far as cars go once again they are not part of our contract. Would you like it to be like a take home "company car" in the real world where you are responsible for taxes and gas and then you claim it on your taxes? Embrace the suck like the rest of us.

Amen FOP has continued to fail us. It takes more than sending letters to the media. We need someone that actually cares about our interest.
