I personally find this whole thing disgusting. I would have never participated in such a news story. For starters, citizens should not "fear" any police officer. To have a citizen fear an officer is counterproductive to the mission of the agency. Citizen should respect officers, not ''fear" them. Secondly, officers should not be made into local celebrities. It is very tacky and unprofessional. It's amazing the power and persuasion of a glitzy news camera. I don't see any public service this story
