Nobody should spend more than 5 years in any specialized unit or division. People need to learn new skills and give others a chance to do the same. The expertise of staying longer is outweighed by the staleness and apathy it leads to.

I guess that's why the sheriff told Sam he was not welcome to be a deputy. Quit writing deputies and there families Sam.
