I put you in the same category as all the other folks who feel entitled to get what they have and entitled to get more. You feel entitled to low cost healthcare, entitled to more pay, entitled to take home cars, entitled to secured off days, entitled to uniform allowances, entitled to a good pension, etc. The city and state would LOVE to do away with all of that and try to every chance they get. We have miraculously kept most of all that and even improved some due to our diligent FOP. You obviously have no idea what goes into the constant fight to keep these benefits intact. Come to a lodge meeting sometime, watch what happens, go spend a few hours in Dave's office and see for yourself what he does, step up and challenge him with what you disagree with. Make contact with officers from other departments like ours and see how much worse it can be. Go talk to Otoole or someone else who helped negotiate our contract that took almost 2 years to finalize.
