In regard to the few that are enraged over the FOP approval of the contract, what did you think would happen if we sent them back to the table with the city? There is NO recourse. Your perception of control in this situation is a mirage. All the city would do is say: "OH!, You aren't satisfied with the contract we negotiated on for years? What you don't approve it? Shame, because we are done with negotiations. You will work under that contract. Thanks for playing."

Do you honestly think there is a step after that? What is your response when they say that? There is no forced arbitration. Going to strike? Set up a picket line? You would have to do so while unemployed and possibly indicted.
