UK Campus Police Officer Fired After Confrontation With Student

Kid better find a new school to attend cause he's gonna get The Business now!

I'm not saying the officers are right in this situation, but man this kid is a punk. Everyone has rights, but it's obvious that he's less concerned about protecting his, than he is stirring stuff up. I agree with the previous poster, he's a marked man now.

The officer should sue to get his job back. Being fired is excessive when the kid is being disorderly by using language like that. The punk will never get a job making more than $10 an hour thanks to that video being on the internet. If his abusive language doesn't get him booted from the university, then that explains why they have so many punks going there.

All UK students who live in the dorms sign a contract. This contract legally allows for any University employee to come in the room, as long as they have suspicion of a violation of policies. The search warrant rule does not apply here.

The officer was fired because he made physical contact with the kid. I believe he will get his job back after review. UK violated the officer's bill of rights by immediately firing him.
