Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer adds city position to confront violent crime

We are working on the terms of our OLD contract under the clause if a new one is not enacted prior to the expiration then the old one stays in effect as it pertains to pay and benefits. If we get zero ( ) % raise for the first 2 years there will be NO back pay what so ever. As per the terms of the new contract we did not get a raise so there is NOTHING to give us back pay on. For those officers who don't think this will happen just wait. Metro Government is still saying it is poor and cannot afford to give anyone a raise but our mayor is making new positions to appease the "blue ribbon board" of advisers he had do the crime study. Not whining, just been around long enough and through enough contracts to know what is coming. Been here for almost 20 years so YES I have some experience to back this up.
