I love it when some say we are (insert # of months) months without a contract. We have a contract and it still stands. It is still enforceable and we still continue to collect the fringe benefits it allows. When current negotiations are complete and if the members ratify what is proposed, then we will have a NEW contract. Yes, we are 15 months without a NEW contract, but we still have a contract…the existing one. Also, what makes you or anyone think the city is not negotiating in good faith? I’m fairly certain if we were at a stalemate with the city our FOP would inform us and tell us what action to take regarding it.
