It's obvious he was sent to latewatch as punishment. Can't they come up with some sort of viable excuse?

If the story's true, it's time to start arranging all the retirement parties in both departments.

If it is true. And a big if it is then the colonels and majors involved will get their rears covered quickly. That is the way of the past 9 years.

Those kinds of stories attract the national media like stink on sh*t. I hope they send her instead of Steve Croft.

KSP does not want a black eye or to admit they F'd up. They would have let this innocent guy sit in prison for years. KSP's motto- we are the only one's who can get it done & we are the only agency with the manpower to get it done. LOL. I was so sick of hearing that. I'm glad the LMPD Detective followed through.

I like how David Ray sounded like a whimp calling and eating crow to the KSP Lt. Col's. Maybe if Major David Ray would actually stick his nose into stuff- he would uncover a lot of S^#@ going on under his nose. Whimp.

Sorry kids the supreme court ruled that government employees aren't covered under the whistleblower act. And any officer can be moved under the reorganization of the department. Do you remember decentralization.

Why would KSP call LMPD to complain on Morgan when Morgan merely called the Innocence Project? That is not interfering with an investigation and they knew it!! KSP wanted LMPD to sanction Morgan who arguably was acting as a private citizen. It appears as if LMPD took the bait and now KSP is resting comfortably. Poor LMPD...still learning.

Ethics

October 14th, 2012 @ 9:06AM (12 years ago)

People who think it's OK to keep innocent people in prison don't have any business being in law enforcement. There are some other laws that the ethically challenged should be aware of.

Said it once say it again "SAME SNAKE JUST A DIFFERENT HEAD" things will not change, this new chief was part of the old chief's administration, it will not change. How many of the old administration have been got rid of, NONE. If you think it's going to get better then your dumber than I thought, get used to it or leave it's all you can do. Year and half no contract and not even near one. Glad i'm leaving shortly tired of living on hope when there is none.

Officer in need

October 16th, 2012 @ 11:01PM (12 years ago)

So I figured I'd repost this from Facebook to distract all of us from the stressful things that come with this job. Hearing about this officer made me feel extremely grateful for my family and children today. Hopefully it does the same for all of you that are actually in LE that post here.

There is a Florida officer (Officer Spires) in need. His wife died while giving birth to twin girls this week. The twins (not premature) are now at home. I know this officer has to be overwhelmed beyond articulation right now.

If you find it in your heart to send anything their way, here is the information you need:

Any monetary donations (or condolences & support, even) can be sent to: Orlando Police Dept PO Box 913 Orlando, FL 32801-0913 Attn: Lt. Pursley

Any donations of formula (Enfamil Newborn has been requested), clothing, or other necessities can be sent to: Orlando Police Dept 100 S Hughey Ave Orlando, FL 32801 Attn: Lt. Pursley
