I don't work for the metro jail but my father did for 27 years.

the "jail guards" as you called them, the right name is Corrections Officer, I am sure that we or you don't like to be called Pig,cop,Barney Fife

anyways the Officers at the jail are "Kentucky State Peace Officers" so they have same powers as any police officer does, theres a reson why they can have red/blue lights.
