That would have been funny except so many departments call LMPD when they are in over their heads. Just ask Shively. LMPD is the agency other agencies call when they cannot do the job. Say what you want about LMPD, they know how to stop a crime in progress.

I think it comes down to numbers. LMPD is the largest department in the state, over 1200 officers. Just statistically a large department is going to have more problems than say a department of 40 officers, Duh! Also, the city of Louisville has 4 news channels and a newspaper. Also Louisville has the largest population of minorities, homeless, and mentally disturbed people. I think I might become a reporter easy work. Just put in a freedom of information request form, and have the government do all your research, Excellent!
