Louisville Metro Police officer to face criminal charges after allegedly slapping handcuffed man

The most obvious reason would probably be that there is no better pay for taking on a lot more work. LMPD should offer a pay increase for any position above patrol officer. I know a lot of officers who would not become a detective for the reason there is no pay incentive to do so.

Whats with all the newer officers getting these spots. Almost everyone on those list had >7000 code numbers. I know some of them go back to 2005, but holy crap.

Who's leaving? I heard they had some retirements but didn't know anyone else was jumping ship
