Figure when the tests get back from the lab and it shows he was intoxicated Conrad will fire him. Praoblem is the city will have to pay a bank full of money for shooting an unarmed man. How did the dept hire these fools in the first place. If a house cleaning on this dept doesn't come soon this chief will be branded as bad as the last chief.

Conrad what were you thinking?

Off-duty officer involved in shooting may have been intoxicated -- http://www.wave3.com/

Police Chief says probe includes whether officer was intoxicated -- http://www.whas.com/main.html

Louisville officer involved in shooting may have been intoxicated -- http://www.wdrb.com/

LMPD: Officer may have been under the influence night of shooting -- http://www.whas11.com/

Chief: Investigators concerned officer involved in shooting was intoxicated -- http://www.wlky.com/

Chief Conrad,

Why would you include anywhere in your statement that the officer may have been intoxicated before the investigation was completed?

I understand the need to appear "transparent" and Im sure the officer's tests will come back positive for alcohol; But what if the tests didn't?

You would think that as Chief you would know better then to make a premature inflammatory statement that just set this thug (let's be honest, this is probably the case, but I could be wrong) up for a payday.

Off topic sorry. Guys be careful, people are starting to carry holstered weapons now. Got a run on accident where one of the parties had a gun strapped on his side. We are being tried by the public to be sucked into a lawsuit for doing something wrong. Don't fall for a trap.

You are either with them, or against them. Lol

Just because you want something, doesn't mean everybody should jump on board. Your "wants" have to be inline with everybody else's.

You ever consider you are the "scab", as you like to put it.

And the comment of the living out of the county, get over yourself. They put their butt on the line just as much as you do.

I have no problems with decent folks toting guns.

For the honest taxpaying people: just tell me about it up front, and don't be upset if I hold on to it for a few minutes until I am done conducting any business we have. Then I will return it and any ammo, and apologize/explain why I held on to it. One day I may need you to save my life and use that weapon.

For the felons/thugs: I intend on making your life hell.

I was told the Mayor said there is no money for raises in the next contract, but the city can give the Yum Center-with there over priced tickets, food and drink (the cost of building it came in under budget)-6 plus million this year and another 3 plus million next year?? WTF! I got your safest city right here

We need to put in this next contract, "every year we are out of contract it's a 4%" not just this working under the old contract stuff-not knocking the FOP!
