Coffee prices are increasing due to soaring demand in emerging economies, sustained high demand in traditional major coffee markets (e.g., U.S., Europe), supply disruptions due to inclement weather, avoidance of increased production investment due to fear of boom-bust cycle and the five years required for coffee plants to mature, and speculative trading in coffee futures markets with large infusions of money from hedge funds, driving up commodity prices across the board.

Why should we get anything for free just because we are the police? You have a sense of entitlement about you….the same sense of entitlement the thugs get when they wait by the mailbox for their check. It is unbecoming. Pay for your coffee like everybody else. We should all be embarrassed to accept freebies while in uniform. We are here to protect and serve, not to take what we want.
