Don't know what happened before the video, but I just watched the video over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over....well you get the point. After dozens of views guess what I was finally able to see? The ******* guy who got hit reached up and grabbed the cop by the throat. Uhhhhh.....what do you expect the cop to do?

This is so stinkin typical. A brother officer passes, two different articles on this site about him and you people give him what a combined 48 comments or so. And at least 10 or more of those had nothing to do about him, but to stir sh*& up about your brother officers. Now this and wow 20 in less than a day and more no doubt to come with nothing more than hearsay, rumor and innuendo about what was said on an AIR, he is fired, he screwed up and blah, blah, blah. Yes, the video looks bad and screwed up. He never should have cracked the guy with a flashlight period end of story, chalk that up to a rookie mistake. That is based on what you see in the video only, no assumptions as to what occurred prior to that incident, just the fact that the guy looked smaller, two of them, and did not see a weapon in his hand. He made what you all should hope was a mistake that he will learn from and hopefully will get to keep his career. Instead of dogging this guy up or spreading pathetic rumors when you don't know for sure, why not keep your mouths shut or offer him some encouragement about the situation. Plus, why give non-officers that read this site to include the media any fuel to feed a fire or room to criticize us even more. The media especially as you all know they feed like pirhana's on this site and post their own stuff to stink it up even more. You all deserve better from each other, You all deserve to be treated better, You all are professionals and some of the best people this city will ever know, You all deserve to give each other the benefit of the doubt because You all know more than anybody the criminal dregs out here definitely do in every case and in every courtroom, more so than any of You. Keep it positive and support this guy and give him the benefit of a chance and let the investigation run its course. He is facing an uphill battle anyway, made a mistake that some of You have made at one time or another and needs our advice and encouragement to get through this. You all stick your necks out everyday and have earned that right whether you have one day or 20 years out here for stepping up to serve in this kind of profession in the first place. Be safe.

Please tell me he was not charged with PI but with AI. I have seen no indication of drugs in the mix.

Im sorry, but I find it hard to have any sympathy for someone who gets drunk, gets involved in a public disturbance, resists the police then winds up hurt. The police shouldn't be blamed for anything here, the idiot that has his head knocked should. You people that disagree with the officers actions better be careful, you just might get your wish. The ones who cry foul because some ignorant drunk gets hurt are gonna be the same ones wondering why the police don't do anything anymore when the same drunk is causing more trouble the next time. One day the police will be either reluctant to act or just plain prohibited from doing anything because someone will be afraid the drunk will get hurt. READ THE BIBLE, ROMANS CH 13. If you re not doing anything wrong you dont have to worry about the police. Its not like the police beat on him for no reason or after he was cuffed.
