if he is 'one of the boys' he'll be fine. They'll say he was trying to hit a pressure point.

If he's not- fired/indicted for assault.

Anybody look the "victim" up in courtnet? A detailed past of drinking and fighting and resisting. 4th street sux. The scrote will think twice before fighting again hopefully. If not, I hope he rides the lightning.

what happened to the cadet who stole the police car

September 22nd, 2011 @ 9:53PM (13 years ago)

what ever happened to the cadet who stole the police car and was driving it around? RUMOR has it, it has all been cleared out of courtnet and everywhere else as if it never existed. Did someone in the front office (maybe the person who sponsored him) have anything to do with this?

This coming from the guy who made fun of traffic cars, stating, "he could teach a monkey to run radar."

Are you saying that a LMPD has a commanding officer who makes 100K a year running radar? If he wants to be a patrolman I will call the mayor's office and see that it is done. As a taxpayer, I am very upset to think that this man doesn't have enough to do that he goes out and runs radar. If he has that much free time perhaps Chief White has promoted too many people.

I will say this, that is the quickest that I have ever saw a persons record get expunged. I even heard he had two note books with over 80 names, social security numbers & date of births of people who he had stopped in the DARE car. THE NOTEBOOKS HAVE SOMEHOW DISAPPEARED OUT OF THE PROPERTY ROOM AS EVIDENCE. I WONDER WHO HAD THAT DONE. THIS GUY UNLAWFULLY DETAINED LOUISVILLE CITIZENS AND HE GET'S HIS RECORD EXPUNGED. WAY TO GO KENTON BUCKNER. This crap makes me wanna puke. He should have been charged with stealing a police car, and those explorers should not have access to police car keys anyway.

Lay down, let these crooks pack this city off. You have to fight fire with fire. Let the robberies, burglaries increase then they will back you all. Each of you all let this Chief and his flunks bully you. If you lay down then guess what, it's making them look bad. You keep being productive and you are doing nothing but padding all the Chiefs command staff's resume and retirement. I know you all care and you hate to lay down for the community, but you have to be took care of also. This Chief and his whole command staff need to GO. Someone else comes in they will clean house.

Why are we still carrying 30 year old, 2 pound D-cell aircraft aluminum flashlights anyway? Technology today allows for plastic lights with LED that are 5 times brighter and weigh about 6 oz. Looks like its time for the city to buy new lights.

New LAPD flashlights are too small to be used as weapons (Disarm Police /Empower Criminals update)

New LAPD flashlights are too small to be used as weapons

LOS ANGELES The L-A-P-D has decided that smaller is better when it comes to flashlights.Police Chief William Bratton is scheduled to unveil new flashlights today that are brighter than the ones they use now, but too small to be used as a weapon.

The idea for the new ten-inch torch was conceived just days after news cameras broadcast images of L-A-P-D officers beating a car-theft suspect with a two-pound, two-foot long standard issue flashlight.

Bratton banned the large flashlights after the 2004 beating and called for manufacturers to create a smaller, brighter flashlight.

A-C-L-U Southern California director Ramona Ripston praised the L-A-P-D for the equipment change.

She says it's an "important step in the right direction."

clothing allowance??? for flashlights? you are kidding right?

I just had to buy a taser holster because the old ones were crap (went through 3). We used to get replacements - not now: clothing allowance.

I have to buy ammunition for duty and back up guns to practice with. We used to get this to stay sharp - not now: clothing allowance.

I have to buy/bring ammo with me to qualify with if my duty weapon or backup is not 40 cal or 9mm on manditory qualification. We used to get this too - not now: clothing allowance.

Jerry screwed the city and the police by not allocating money for cars this year or next. We used to get replacement cars after about 150,000 hard miles. Let me guess.... not now: clothing allowance??? buy your own car.

Take your flashlight and shove it where the sun don't shine. I actually need my clothing allowance to pay for the super inflated prices we are forced to fork out on uniforms. I can't imagine a civilian/citizen having to pay over $110 for a shirt and pair of pants that will get destroyed next week when you have to fight baby's daddy cause he is selling dope and beating his baby's mama!!! Maybe if our clothing allowance werent taxed at 51% at the IRS bonus rate!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe we could afford to buy a dang flashlight.

clothing allowance is for clothing.

Buckner is a joke.... we are suppose to enforce the law, not encourage people to break the law. Where Buckner supported that explorer, along with paying his attorneys fees, and got his record expunged is a joke. This kid unlawfully detained citizens by pulling them over, impersonated a police officer & stole a police car... and his record is expunged????? That is the quickest I have ever saw a persons record get expunged. What a joke!!! This kid is a criminal!!! But i'm sure Buckner will make sure he get's hired.
