This has been going on as long as some cop figured out he could make money get people to the track. Just in case you want to know, the only thing I hauled to the Downs was my gear. You will never stop it! I would suggest you get to know the "right people" so you to can get vacation time during derby and make two grand.

The real complaint should be the off-duty officers using their blue lights to escort people in direct violation of KRS and policy. I will never complain about the off-duty employment opportunities, however nothing pisses off an and tired officer, who worked a fourteen hour detail, than when he is being passed by an off-duty rookie with his lights on so he can escort a minivan, going in the wrong lane on 9th street. This caused a "accident" that this old and tired officer had to unf#ck so the other drivers wouldn't complain about the young idjit driving the wrong way... btw i have this kids car number and will be visiting him in the 8th division late watches roll call room soon. That is the old school way of fixing a problem.
