You sound like a youngster, yes he was messy and towards the end was probably slow,,,I hope for your sake your health continues to be good,,but in his prime he was one of the best beat cops going,,back when cops were cops not baby sitting social workers, he worked in the projects and was shot at by bad guys,,,,and was forced to use deadly force and take more than one life,,,,(bet u didnt know that) something for your sake i hope you never have to experience, i think your attitude might change a bit too if you had been in some of the situations he had..so lighten up! you will be there someday,,He served the citizens well and I would definately want him backing me up! If you are half as good a cop as he was you should turn out ok. I hope when you retire there is not some snot nosed kid bad mouthing you because you became a senior officer and just wasen't a young buck anymore. He still deserves your respect!
