I am not sure that any of us have failed firearms, but we all have our good days and bad days on the range. After all, it is a very perishable skill, requiring a great deal of range time and ammunition to maintain. Do you see the rub here? We are unable to get the amount of time on the range that many of us need to maintain our shooting skills, or even the ammunition and when we do get the range time, it is for a basic qualification. Until the tactical pistol course recently came about, we continued to do the same static shooting, with little stress and almost no movement, how can any of us hope to improve our shooting, much less take it to the next level. I enjoyed the pistol course, it pushed and tested me, I am by no means a great shot, but I am one of the team you are takng shots at now. Are we perfect, no, do we have bad days, yes, but do we always come out when ever the department or the divisions call for our service, Yes, and it is volunteer. As has always been the case with this site, it allows you to speak your mind and maintain a sense of anonymity. I feel that if there is something you feel strongly about, don't be ashamed to leave your name. I agree with some of the other posts, we are our own worst enemies at times. I would rather you walk up to me and speak your mind and we enjoy a heated discussion over the merits of each others points and opinions, but that is just me. Stay safe all and always watch each others backs.
