Yes we are grateful to be employed.

Yes the majority of us still love the job.

Yes it does at times sound like a lot of people complaining, but this appears the only place it can be stated and we want the public to understand our plight.

Our hands have been tied by this administration from the beginning. We can no longer do the job that needs to be done without fear of losing that employment we are grateful for.

It would be easy to say "Well everyone's job is like that", but in reality it is not. Our job sometimes requires us to use force and unfortunately one of my first thoughts is "Will I get fired for this?" and "Will this end up on the news?". Before anyone jumps in with "Well then don't do anything that will get you in trouble or don't want people to see on the news....", understand that I am not saying I am worried about the reality of the situation, but the way it is manipulated and perceived. It is not beyond the realm of the media or this administration to manipulate any situation to their advantage in order to embarrass or discipline an officer.

We want to do our jobs, but it is becoming evermore difficult under this administration.

I LOVE THIS JOB. I love the men and women I work with everyday. They have become an extension of my blood family. I love the fact that I am PAID to hunt criminals. I love helping a citizen, even the ungrateful little b@st@rd who cussed me for getting his car off the road, until he realized what I was doing (his poor beemer might have been scratched). What I dislike is this pattern of no communication, socio-political backlash coming from our own chief, based entirely on his perception of the media. The fact that his chosen enforcement of rules and regs has begun to appear to be entirely distorted by race (yep that is the pink elephant in the room ladies and gents). I am disgusted by the fact the HE and members of his command staff have flat lied to the public, which means my parents and grandparents saying that crime is down, when really the numbers were played with...

But I love this job

To answer "Who DO you guys like? Are any of you ever happy? I'm asking serious questions, not instigating or being a smarta$$."
