FOP Explains Heiner Endorsement

Don't be silly. Everything about the police department is political. To avoid it is to stick our heads in the sand and pretend everything is ok. We get screwed now because we have a mayor that does not respect the police and in the past we did not have the will, the energy, or the intestinal fortitude to stand up to him and demand better. We cowered down and took what he offered. After all, how could we stand up to him....we can't even get six members to agree on a place to eat lunch much less stick together against an arrogant ego-maniac. It would be productive if you voted for the candidate the FOP endorsed....but no one is asking or demanding that you do that. Don't mix your personal feelings or politics with what our FOP (whom we elected) is trying to accomplish. We have a contract negotiation coming up in under a year. The mayor of our city has a huge part in this.....see where this is going?
