How does he get away with this not being an off duty gig? Are we his pesonal police force?

I'm a resident of this division and even if I wanted to "throw a fit" (I'm not THAT kind of east end person, but those were the words the OP used), none of the phone numbers for the 8th division "station" work. They never get answered. They all lead to several voicemails that are "full". I've written to my councilman before but eh, that's not typically extremely effective. I still did it, but nothing has changed. They deal drugs out of the gas station across f/ my complex so I see cops occasionally in my parking lot but other than that, I actually see more cops when I drive in other areas of town as opposed to when I drive around in the 8th. It's strange, honestly, since people constantly make jokes about the 8th division. It's a fairly quiet part of town but it is a large sq mi area so I get what you mean by that. A lot more goes on than people assume. I'm not saying I live in the projects because I don't but there's some shady criminals out in these parts, too.
