I have worked for both of these guys...and they are both top notch. Gene gave his officers a medal after the unarmed black teen tried to run them over with his vehicle. Charlie should have been promoted to Major long before some other political appointments. Charlie has always been an honest cop and CO. That is why he was not put over a Division. He would lie in Compstat like most of the other Majors....so then the Chief can in turn lie to the public. Good luck Charlie.....

Lets be honest, he will hire his current command staff buddies to work for him. It will be another U of L police dept... Don't have to do anything for the democratic society ran school, but hey the kids can go to school free. Typically, his new found Dept. will be worthless just as U of L police dept. or any other college police Dept.

GO OUT TO A COUNTY DIVISON WHERE YOUR BACKUP IS 20 MINUTES AWAY AND HOSPITALS ARE 20 MINUTES AWAY AND SEE HOW MUCH OF A 'REAL' POLICE OFFICER YOU ARE THEN.
