State says Louisville can't charge police for take-home cars |
RE: State says Louisville can't charge police for take-home cars
I have no problem with that and no one else should either! I personally thought that taking a vote at the Fair grounds by standing on one side of the room or the other was in poor taste (sorry John). It divided some even worse then we already are. I remember feeling THAT stare from the other side ---as I stood on the side to keep the cars UNTIL the labor hearing was finished. It only made sense to listen to what the FOP President was saying........to not give up the cars YET! We need voting boxes next time---just like when we vote for contracts!

I appalaude you. Take care of your family first. Damn everybody else, you know more than the rest of the Department, more than the Board of the FOP, more than the lawyers your FOP dues help pay for (you *are* a paying member, yes?) I too will take care of my family, but I will do it by paying careful attention to the issues, listening to the FOP board that I helped elect, and standing united with my fellow Officers.
It sounds like you have a good heart Sir; however I respectfully submit that you need to pay more attention to the learned opinions of others in situations where you yourself are not privy to all the information., instead of going with your gut reaction. And I am more than happy to tell you this in person if you like.
