you are right it is a liability to us on all future contracts and I can assure you that there are alot of officers who will give up just about anything to keep them. I for one would rather have the money and insurance for my family than the car. Hell if the city wants the cars they can have them.

In most counties, you wouldn't even get a car if you lived out of county - and in many states, you must live within the jurisdiction you police, or at least within the same county, anyway. (And the concept of living in another state, as some Kentucky officers do, is REALLY alien in most places.)

you've been spending way too much time on a PW site talking about your DH. if you live outside the county, you don't really know the full benefit anyways, so of course you'd readily give them up because it doesn't effect you the way it effects in-city limits cops. way to stick together. stick to the pw forums, i think
