The plan is simple, Police should not pay a defict created in part by this mayor, car fees are out of the question. The fire fighters should not be moved to 53 hours per week to be paid OT instead of the current 40 hour work week. If the firefighters agree to 53 hours the mayor will agree to insentive pay being retro to the original cut off date. EMS should not be required to take any additional furlough days which creates shortages on the street or additional OT. During the last furlough period OT for EMS was high, folks making up their days, city saves nothing. Corrections should be brought up to full staff and furlough days.

It is interesting that none of the stimulus money will be spent on public safety. We will continue with parks, bike paths, bike houses like Chicago. I would be remis if I did not mention forgivable loans to Cordish. It is quite clear this mayor has no ideal the difference between a police car, engine co/ladder truck and/or ambulance. What he understands is we are here to be stepped on by him and never complain. The press supports our mayor; however, marketing companies will support their paying customers. The announcmet to his re-election campaign is soon. Bill Boards, adds and other venues are great ways to get our message out. We just need to factual and un emotional, grass roots door to door.
