Controversy continues over city money given to developers of 4th Street Live

Why do you think LMPD is the only policing agency in the state? I'm quite happy where I am, and we don't have such problems. If I have a sick child, I can contact my CO and they actually TAKE CARE of notifying the court. I understand LMPD is bigger, but that also means, you have more people who could take care of such notifications.

But then, my court (and yes, I'm in Kentucky) doesn't expect me to show up for such BS stuff. It is fun when a Jefferson County attorney comes to my court system and is told, sorry, we don't do it that way, you want the cop, you request the subpoena, and if you do so, we will be having a trial. Write good citations and you should rarely have to go to court, but for better or worse, this is perceived as an LMPD problem, so it is going to be up to you to correct that perception, and that problem.

This kind of situation hurts your cause, and just crying "you don't understand my problems" - doesn't help the vic or wit that DID take a vacation day to appear in court. They don't care that you had a problem, they only know that they are out time/money and you couldn't be bothered to show up. When the time comes that you and JA get into a p***ing contest in the media, who will they believe?
