Why doesn't a call in number cover all circumstances? Short of getting into a wreck, you pick up a phone and explain the problem, and you DOCUMENT it. If you all knew the continuances weren't getting recorded, why weren't you doing something about it? Don't say, not my problem, it is YOUR face on the front page, after all, that makes it your problem.

If your wife is making appointements when you are going to be the one having to do it, you have a communication problem - make those appointements late in the afternoon or on Saturdays. If a child is sick, sure someone has to stay home with them, but you anticipate that and MAKE PLANS.
