Controversy continues over city money given to developers of 4th Street Live

The CJ did a week long story on LMPD officers not going to court... OK! So, let's start going to court on all our cases regardless how minor or first call. I understand those of us that have child care issues or other reasons, but call in cover your six. The city pays us for going to court, let's hit King Jerry where it hurts.... his pocket!

As a taxpayer, I find it disturbing that our elustrius mayor, can one day say that the city has a deficiet of 20 million dollars and that Metro Government Employee's will have to fit the bill (furlough days and pay cuts). Then the next day he goes on a spending spree, spending tax payer money, and his reasoning for the spree was explained in a 2002 Aldermen Ordinance (remember we merged in '03) giving him the right to spend the money.

I highly implor our Metro Council to stand up to this bully and stop the mismanagement of our tax dollars! Our families are sick and tired of paying the price. We as Police Officers took an oath to Protect and Serve our city from injustice and corruption no matter where it shows it's ugly face.

Our biggest problem is our FOP. I agree with the out of county poster, it is all perception, its that simple. Time and time again silence is all we have from our FOP.
