Call the Commonwealth Attorney immediately on every case you expect to take to the Grand Jury, but explain that due to the story, that you will be letting the case go through two useless proceedings in District Court before taking it to the Grand Jury because you don't dare dismiss it now. If they are willing to throw cops under the bus, make sure to drag them down there with you.

If you have to file for a continuance, make your sergeant date and sign it too, then hand deliver it and make whoever you give it to in the courthouse sign and date a copy as well. Copy it to the County Attorneys office. If they can't keep track of the paperwork, make sure YOU are covered.
