3 Judge Panel Lifts Injunction Against City

Opinions are like a$$holes...everyone has one. I agree with Paul on this one. This web site was created by police for police. We have for YEARS got paid less money than comparable police departments. When WE all got hired part of the hiring package was a take home car. It was not listed as a Priveledge. Now because our Mayor has spent all our money and SAYS there is a shortfall (this is still undeteremined) we have to pay even more money. We already pay 60 bucks to take the car home. In the last few years we have received very little in the way of a raise, our insurance has gone up and our morale has been flushed down the toilet. We are upset about the latest DEMAND for more money because we have given back every year since merger. All OT has been cut so the city is saving plenty of money there alone. He is not going to be saving by making us pay more...he is making revenue. Their (city) argument in court was they "need this revenue" to make it through this short fall. If YOU think it is fair that we give more of our money then you have something wrong with you. Whether you like or dislike police you cannot think that is fair for anyone to put up with. In case you have missed the news for the last year...the city has taken money from every city employee in some form or fashion. Why doesnt Everyone pay a little towards the deficit...that would be fair for everyone. It should not be the burden of only City employees.

If you can convince me face to face that we should not be upset with this then I will apologize on here to you. My guess is though that you will continue to hide behind your rants and remain anonymous. Despite your claims...no policeman could get away with citing or arresting you because they were "mad" at you for what you said on here. That just does not happen anymore.
