Cry me a river. Compare your 1500 per year for everything, with $200-$300 per month for car payment. Using .07 cents per mile, and average 10,000 miles per year. Now, well low-ball insurance at $1000 per year, and assuming our car gets 20 MPG and that gas holds at $2.00, thats another $1000 for gas.

Please allow me to do the math for you. $3000 annual payment + 700 operating costs (tags, taxes, maintenance) + 1000 for insurance + 1000 for gas.

Without taking into account the equity of your own car that adds up to $5700 per year. that slightly less than quadruples your amount.

As to your overtime claims, do you really think that you are the only ones who perform services for an employer that go uncompensated? Suppose your kid gets hit in the head with a ball or bat at a little league game. If there happens to be a doctor or nurse in the stands, would you want them quibbling over compensation before attending to your child?

As to the first poster, does it surprise you that I remain anonymous when I have been issued threats of violence on here by those claiming to be cops? Threats that go unchallenged by other cops? Surely you cannot be that unintelligent that you think you could goad me into revealing my identity!

Lastly to the all but infrequent claims that I somehow wanted to be a cop but couldnt, it is nothing more than your failures to counter me point for point that lead you to this desperation of justifying your incessant need to feel you are somehow better than me. No, I have never wanted to be a cop, never planned on being a cop, failed at trying to be a cop, or any partiality of the above.
